What are the probable Saxenda® side effects?

Saxenda may have major adverse effects such as:

pancreatic inflammation (pancreatitis). Stop taking Saxenda® and contact your healthcare practitioner immediately if you get severe stomach discomfort (abdomen) that does not go away, with or without vomiting.

• You may have discomfort from your stomach (abdomen) to your back due to gallbladder troubles. Saxenda® has been linked to gallbladder issues, including gallstones. Some gallbladder issues need surgery. If you have any of the following symptoms, contact your doctor: Upper stomach discomfort (abdomen), fever, skin or eye yellowing (jaundice), or clay-colored stools
• higher risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in people with type 2 diabetes who also use type 2 diabetes medications such as sulfonylureas or insulin risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in children 12 and older who do not have type 2 diabetes
• Shaking, sweating, headache, tiredness, weakness, disorientation, confusion, irritability, hunger, quick pulse, and feeling jittery are all signs and symptoms of low blood sugar. You should monitor your blood sugar levels before starting Saxenda®, as well as your heart rate while taking Saxenda®. While at rest, Saxenda® may raise your heart rate. While using Saxenda®, your doctor should monitor your heart rate. Inform your doctor if you feel your heart racing or beating in your chest for more than a few minutes.
• kidney issues (kidney failure). Saxenda® may produce nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, resulting in fluid loss (dehydration). Dehydration may lead to renal failure, which may need dialysis. This is possible in persons who have never experienced renal issues previously. Drinking enough of water may help you avoid dehydration. If you experience persistent nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, or if you are unable to consume liquids due to strong allergic reactions, contact your doctor straight once. Stop using Saxenda® and seek medical attention immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction: swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, fainting or feeling dizzy, very rapid heartbeat, problems breathing or swallowing, severe rash or itching, depression, or suicidal ideation. You should be aware of any mental changes, particularly if they are abrupt, in your mood, actions, thoughts, or emotions. If you see any new, worsening, or concerning mental changes, contact your health care practitioner immediately away.
